Pyracantha

This is climbing on trellis work attatched to the back gate. we are training it to climb across the top of the doorway and hopefully across the top of the shed. we are hoping it will be good for the birds.

Is that a Pyracantha?

Yes Drc it is a pyracantha. we bought it a couple of years ago. there's a cottage not far from where we live and I'd not seen the pyracantha before, and the cottage has it all around the front porch. When we first saw it, it was in flower and then when we saw the bright berries we thought it was so colourful and pretty we bought one after finding out what it was.

The birds will love it Linda , we have it all over our back wall the birds have been feeding off it all winter and there's still some berries on it .... the blackbirds build their nests in it to ....
