Clematis viticella 'Polish Spirit'

That's a great purple Spritz!

I really love the colour of this one .

It's a lovely one - and really, really early, unlike other plants in my garden. Very odd!

We have just had a new fence erected, so many of my Clematis have been trampled, including 'Polish Spirit' !

Oh no - I'd be v.v.v.upset!!!! Can you rescue them?

I'm sure I have this one somewhere !!

I know! Lots of buds, and they're all opening! I have 'Royal Velours' planted next to it, and that hasn't done anything yet - nor has Mme. Correvon... Etoile Violette has small buds, but nowhere near flowering stage.

Maybe the way you pruned it? Or just something to do with our freaky winter!

Nope - in fact I am gulty of NOT pruning E. Violette properly - not hard enough, and to my horror, it's gone up into next door's lilac tree! I hope they don't decide to chop it back....EEEEK! All the others I did properly...which reminds me. I must go and feed them all....Bye for now.

Guess who didn't do any of those jobs! Why do I find other things to do - I prevaricated, because I really didn't want to climb up on the wall amongst the bees, OR find my Clematis chart and feed them all! So I wrote plant labels for the plant stall and dead-headed again....I also watered all the containers...well, they needed it!

Ha! That sounds like more fun than climbing in bees! What do you do with the chart?

It's on my laptop. I was being lazy! I didn't feel like dragging any more cans round the garden after watering all the containers and plants for sale.

Nope - I still haven't done it! I might if the rain holds off. Poor hungry Clematis!
