This tough little plant kept some of its foliage through the entire winter !!!

It does well in your garden, doesn't it, like 'Claret', which also died on me. I bought a new one, so we'll see what happens with that!

I wonder if they'll be better for being planted earlier .... more time for roots to establish :-/

Possibly, but my first H. P. was OK for a couple of years - but it didn't like last winter one bit! Claret took one look at the frost and gave up. ;-(((
