Funny how some plants after the bad winter and warm spring they have done well while others have perished, so we should learn with the extremes of weather which is the best to have to survive it.

Hi Cinderella...
I've just been adding some older pics to the GoYpedia penstemons page.
I have taken cuttings from Penstemons before and been successful.
There's a photo on GoYpedia Penstemons of some cuttings rooted in water...
current GoYpedia Penstemon page 11...
GoY member Dioon11. Photo date. 15th May. 2008.

er.... if you grow lots of baby white Penstemons,
I would love to be first in the queue to have one please :o)
... thanks. x

another thought... if you read my blog from last year on cuttings rooted in rainwater... [ 5th July 2009 ] that has lots of ideas and tips from GoY members... I hope this helps... :o)

Thank you so much TT. If I am successful you will be first in the queue I promise. I will definitely look at those pages and will have a go. I love a challenge.

Yes, with my Cuttings in Water blog, the GoY members put many useful comments and they also agreed for their pics to be included, which helped a lot.

I've been out already and selected some cuttings and have them in tap water, but shall transfer them to rainwater as soon as I get enough rain. Its just started, so maybe tomorrow !!

I think over the next couple of days, shortage of rainwater won't be a problem. ;o)

7 Jun, 2010

Probably not. Lol.

That is a lovely one,Cinderella, and looks so nice next to the Chives.,which seem to have done really well this year, don't they? In fact most things have, which I think we never expected...
