Ooo well arrr, Go infor Ks, yes this came on a bit in May but has only flowered in the last week. My s/sw wall has had a lot of strong sun so far.
Its not a climber/clinger as yes it scrambles, I tied the stems early on when I set things up for the trellis in May. I dont think its the Jackmanii, but if its not the same as yours its in the same ballpark.

Well, if it's not a climber I would say it must be Arabella Stevie....lucky you....early flowers. As you say, if it's on a warm wall.....Spritz has a clem that 'should' flower in late summer and hers is flowering already. It certainly does look like Arabella! :))

Hi Stevie, It certainly looks like Arabella's flowers. But Arabella shouldn't be in flower yet. It's season is July to Sept and it is one of the non-clinging types. It dies back completely under the ground every year and then sends up long shoots that cannot support themselves and have no ability to cling on to anything...(you have to tie it up yourself or let it scramble over the ground). This one looks as though it has the leaves that grasp and climb up by clinging on. Hmm...let me see....try googling Jackmanii Superba and see if you think that is the same as yours. The flowers in this photo look a bit pale for it, but if they have been out for a few days they could be fading.....I'm definitely not sure!! :))...
