Currant (Red)

Last year this red currant was covered in aphids and twisted and in a sorry state ... and not a currant in sight.
But, by the power of a pot of chives sunk in the row - hover flies just can't keep away ... I've been scratching my head as to where the aphids have gone this year ;)

Ah yes, the humble and yet delicious currant must be supported. The much better looking half is in the mood for some jam making!
