Oh this is lovely Drc, I've grown it from seed this year and couldn't remember what it looked like so thought I'd see if anyone was growing it on here , now I know why I grew it stunning!! can't wait till next year ;-)

Good luck they are very pretty but hate bad drainage and clay so I had to move mine and added lots of gritty loam I also think they need sun.

Thanks for the info :-) hopefully they're in a good spot I have them on a slope that has just been cleared of a few trees that died so they have the sun, the soil is lovely and crumbly too after years of leaf fall , the rest of the garden is mainly heavy clay so looks like I picked the best spot!! ;-)
I also grew Hirsutus and they're in the same area :-)
