Gorgeous...I want one too.

Thanks Alexandramou. I love peonies and I want more! The flowers look lovely in the garden and they make good cut flowers too.
28 Sep, 2010
I've ordered a few....can't wait to get them.
28 Sep, 2010
Really? How nice! What colour? I'd love to have yellow ones. Maybe I'm going to buy one next spring. Maybe~.

I've ordered "Bowl of beauty", a light pink double one, a dark pink tree paeony,,,,,then I have five different kinds peony seeds germinating (I hope). But I have a long wait for the flowers to pop up.
28 Sep, 2010
I have "Bowl of beauty" too. I bought three different peony tubers and planted them out this spring. I've heard that it would take about three years to flower, but one (Bowl of beauty) flowered! So you don't know. If you are lucky, you won't have to wait too long.
The one I planted in full sun had a hard time, though. The leaves were sunburned and I had to cut them all off. Still, the tuber might be okay, so I haven't abandoned my hope.. just yet. But maybe I should move it somewhere else.
You have five different peony seeds in the pipeline? Wow, how exciting! Look forward to seeing the flowers.

LOL...let's hope we see a plant first.
Now you really made my day, maybe I don't have to wait three years to see a flower..(one of the plants is two year old) .I'm going to have to be really careful about where I'm going to plant them. If yours got sunburnt then mine will be in big trouble in the summer.

LOL.
Our place got really really hot this summer. One day the temperature shot up to 36 degrees (c) in the shade and 40 plus in the sun. That was a massive attack! Poor peony. I feel for it.

Is your peony is England or in France?
29 Sep, 2010
In France. The temperature here in England seldom goes up to 30 degrees.

That's what I thought. I've been going to the post office every day this week waiting for my peony.....post clerk is getting a kick out of it. I can't wait anymore.
30 Sep, 2010
Oh my goodness, everyday? Don't be ratty, Alexandra!! -- I didn't mean it; I know how you feel.
30 Sep, 2010
LOL. Well Tommymoo it said to be planted right away......I can't have it sitting in the post office!!! I'm so excited, it feels like christmas. I was thinking I'm going to have to plant it in a pot for now because my garden isn't ready yet for planting.
30 Sep, 2010
Yes, you don't want your precious things sitting around with papers and the like. Where are they coming from? Netherlands?
30 Sep, 2010
The UK. I would like to have one from Japan. Just so that I would know it's from Japan. Maybe I can go there and sneak one back...;o)
30 Sep, 2010
LOL :o) I'm going to Japan next February. It'd be nice if I could buy one for you (and for me too) but I don't know because I always have lots to bring back. Let's see :D
30 Sep, 2010
Lucky you. That would be something special. More sneaking going on......lol
30 Sep, 2010
