Fantastic Sandra. I like the way you've cut into the grass with your border. I was thinking about doing this couple of weeks ago. Still might yet! lol
What used to be down the path side of the grass near the house? Your grass has a darker ziggy section or is it the camera?

thanx steve think its a shadow, the border is raised, baz made it with farmers posts, they are stronger than on a roll as you can make them longer, are hammered in one by one about 12" deep, then lined with plastic to protect from rot, took him ages but its strong to hold all the soil and plants, ;o))
17 Jun, 2010
He's a good lad is Baz. Doesn't look raised from this angle! How raised is it?
17 Jun, 2010
its about a ft steve just enough, we did it because it got flooded along that side so would have been a nightmare for plants in winter and rain,
17 Jun, 2010
Good idea. I have mine on a slope. Highest being the fence to drain down to channel in the border!! Better drainage i thought!
17 Jun, 2010
if you look at my first pics think page 32 you can see it when first in.

26 Jun, 2010
aww thankyou so much Dan, iv enjoyed every minute, even with the tears and tantrums with my pond haha
27 Jun, 2010
What a great view you`ve given us Sanbaz, I can get your pond and other pics you`ve shown in prospective now and its all come together great. But I`ve just a sneaky feeling that the long border is going to get wider. Why is it that we just have to have that extra plant?.lol.:o).
29 Jun, 2010
lol stroller, trouble is the side border is a raised bed ;o( so would be difficult if i make another border along side it, would make it hard to get at for weeding etc, maybe the other side would be better lol, never enough plants haha
29 Jun, 2010
