Thanks Spritz...They are marvels of health. very robust...but this season we had extra rain and hence some blackspot. Next garden ...roses will be mulched.

What do you mulch yours with? I get horse manure for mine.

yes, horse poop is the best...it's warming. (It's the primary ingredients in hot beds) I have a rabbit ...and his daily cage cleanings and his little latrine along with his bedding make great compost. It's really interesting to me that getting ahold of horse poop is really difficult. Those who have it...or have a means of getting it...are loath to share it!!

Not in this area - there are so many horses around. We have unlimited supplies only 200 m. away, so OH takes the car plus trailer into the field and we get loading!
We're very lucky there, I know. :-)
