Can anyone tell me what this is please? I get loads of these every summer and they seem to like my pear tree. I've tried to id it but to no avail so far. Don't know if it eats leaves.....?

As kids we always called these bloodsuckers dont worry it isnt ! Its a Cardinal beetle.
