Thanks, it is a very large fig. It produces lots of fruit but we almost never get to eat any as the birds and squirrels pick it clean just as the fruit come to maturity.

Thanks, this is one of the difficult parts of my garden as the evergreens about the hellebores are huge and so the ground is very shady and very dry.

I have the same problem under my apple trees - I've yet to find a good solution, i'm afraid.

Wow... you really have a wonderful garden. All those lovely rhodos...and there is an almost oriental feel to it. enjoyed your pics...

Thanks, I cannot take total credit for it as most of the planting were from the previous owners. It is nice to work in a garden with so much established and beautiful plants and trees. We have done a lot in the 7 years we have been here but mostly in the front garden.
