Just before solstice, great light, all the wild rhodo is blooming down there, wild roses. All the breeding frogs have left and the tadpoles almost full size. Peaceful down there.

Alas, it is no more, Brian. It is something starting new now. It had been a lovely place.

Its part of this property. The landlord decided they wanted it flat, they had heaped up the materials from the initial clearing 25 years ago and finally decided to flatten the area out. So, now it is flat and mud. They said they wouldn't touch the pond, but couldn't help themselves. No more trees, just a pool. I'll post a pic. The wild grass and the rosebay willow herb (i think thats your name for it) will reseed this year and next it will be a lovely meadow. I do like to open area.
Thank you 6p. I've loved it just beyond the house. Will recover quickly, just missing the more established plants.
