I've "ringed" them early this year. They usually lie down across the path!

That's worrying, I associate them with August.thankfully I have no buds showing yet.Although that looks like the red one thats always 2/3 weeks in front of the others in my garden.

Yes it is! Very bright and very tall - think it's usually still there in August...
