Phalaris arundinacea picta - 'Reed Canary grass'

An old garden cultivar popular since the victorian times. Upright, long, narrow grass-like white and green striped leaves which flop attractively creating a natural haphazard look I love it and do not find it invasive.

I think i might have some of this, it had the wrong name on the tag when i bought it, where would you say is the best situation to place it

It looks good form a distance with the sun on it, I like it in front of dark green shrubs. It would also look good near water and amongst perennials it also looks good but then it may become invasive so I keep it in front of shrubs and this seems to restrict it.
