It has flowers now which are very attractive too.It was a bit blowy today but I was lucky enough to get the flower to stay still long enough for me to catch it.

Never seen this before the foliage is much more attractive than the plain leaves on mine

I brought it up from your neck of the woods Bjs. I bought it from a chap who has a nursery somewhere near Weston super mare who had a stand at a rally we attended at Longleat. I am not sure about how to split it but it has got 4 flowers this year which is an increase on last year. I will need to go looking as I do not know whether it is root or corm or bulb beneath the surface. It is certainly not spreading very fast. I have now posted a photo of the flowers.

Probably a fleshy tuberous root , if it is thats a spring job when its just starting to grow.Pity you dont know who was selling it. how many years ago did you buy.

Three maybe. He had a stand at Wimborne Rally too and we are considering going down so if I see one I will get it for you.

I have just been on a site recommended by Nelke. It shows photos of orchids to die for. I think this one is the same as the four spotted orchid shown there. It comes under Rosettes if you want to have a look.
