Thank you Kpjo. The 'tree' in bloom is a magnolia, the big one is a copper beech. I've put another photo on of the beech in all its glory.

Your garden looks really welcoming, not overfussy and I can imagine it to be a very relaxing and calming place to spend time. I like the concrete blocks that separate the lawn from the patio area very much.

Thank you Whistonlass. The blocks are the patio and although you can't see them there are steps leading down to the garden.

Your wall design has given me an idea to consider for our developing garden...although we won't have any steps as it's all one level. See what hubby thinks about it...so many ideas running through my mind! lol
