The very common Kona Double Pink Hibiscus blooming in my neighborhood. Photo taken July 5, 2010.

Thanks! This variety of Hibiscus is about the most commonly seen in California besides the red.

Very perceptive. : > ) This was 1 of 5 shrubs...and this one was growing by the sidewalk...close to the street.
Hundreds of Hibiscus varieties/species are grown here in San Diego...they are one of the most commonly planted shrubs around...and some varieties/species can become large trees.
