Yes a bit sentimental really about this, hubby was going to build one, but was taken ill, so I had it built in his memory. I sit and contemplate !!!

Yes I do Terra Thanks. I would rather go and sit there and remember him than go to the churchyard to be honest with you. He loved the garden.

No, things like that put one off going abroad. Just going to Hayling Island with an old school friend. She has a caravan (large) down there. Thanks for good wishes Shirley

Used to spend our holidays there when growing up, but was surprised at all the housing estates when I went two years ago. Nowhere ever stays the same, but thats progress !

We said recently, if you brought somebody back to Worthing who had been away for 20 years, they wouldn't know the place. Countryside is all being built upon around here. : o ((((((

welcome back hope you had a smashing time with your friend( hope you had a few laughs together only like girls can do ( ark at me girls ) lol. though i live in essex i was born in portsmouth,my dad used to be a chef at one of the big holiday camps on hayling island,lost my dad 12 years ago,also lost my best friend the following year and just like you cinderella i have a fav spot in a corner,and sit and think of my all my precious memories,of them both,not a church yard,also i have an angel (in the form of a robin) who visists most day and i chat to both of them as if there here with me, a great comfort(.hope it's not against the rules to have a chat like this).oh i've saved this lovely picture in my photos file as you've given me a project i would love to do bye for now

Well thank you Nannymargaret, I take that as a compliment. I am a Hampshire girl as well, lived in a village near Southampton. I don't think its against the rules to chat, but you can send Private Messages if you want to,then no-one else can read what you say. Lol
