How can you tell it has a fragrance by looking at it?

No not really. Just the colour and the formation of the petals. It looked like it would be perfumed. When I sold Roses, very few of them had a perfume. If you buy your wife a bouquet of flowers, and you would like them to have a perfume, make sure to include a Stargazer Lily, simply because the whole bouquet will seem fragrant, and they last longer than Freesia etc. :o)))

Ah right thanks for that. Mind you my wife doesn't like flowers as gifts and if I did then it has to be a yellow rose!!

just for you to know, your Wife has very good taste. Some yellow roses are perfumed, and yellow roses are for Love. So don't forget, Valentines Day, it has to be Yellow Roses! :o))

Oh yes. I've got 2 yellow rose bushes just for her in the garden. Grandpa Dickson which has flowered and gone (that smelt gorgeous) & also got a one from B&Q that has just started to bloom and that smells nice aswell. Not as strong as grandpa dickson but still very nice!
