Thanks Elsiemay! I love the "pipecleaner" stamens and when the yellow blossoms fall they look like popcorn on the walk! It took these plants a while to get established.

Unusual with the lilac stamen, love the look of this one.

I fell hard for the tall V.thapsus... they came to my garden as weeds and have been welcomed in as honoured members. LOL. so when I saw this var. on offer at a local nursery I splurged and bought two plants! I've recently seen a white veronica on here that I think would look smashing as a back of the border plant along with these..also there is an Artemisia lactiflora "Ghizhou" that could hold the same spot. I love the rich yellow and those colourful stamen

Hi Janette. Aren't they pretty... I think they're so different. I'm tempted to call it Popcorn...because the petals fall off in one piece...it looks like popcorn on the ground! (Just to frustrate the pigeons!)
