Thank you Sanbaz,.... I bought this tree last year, and it survived the harsh winter, albeit I had it under cover. This year, I am having more flowers than last year, I am pleased to say :-)

Thanks Sanbaz, it will get bigger if I do not trim it down, and to be honest, I am going to let it grow and grow and see what happens :-)

Louis we are growing this as a bush against the fence, at the moment it is about 8ft high by 5ft wide, we had to cut some of the growth off as the wind had broken it down, have never seen it growing in a pot before, we see a lot of these in France, they are tender, but ours has the shelter of the fence, we did cut it right back, but not far enough as all the flowers are at the top now lol it is a beautiful tree/shrub whatever and a stunning colour.

Thank you for the info DD2. Do you think I should plant it in the ground, so as to get it growing bigger?? I have noticed, that the ticks and branches are very brittle and breaks quite easily. :-)

Louis it is a very rampant shrub, but would need the shelter of a wall or fence, they strike easily so OH says!! then you would have both (belt and braces)

Thanks for the info DD2, maybe I should leave it outside this winter and see what happens...........

I looked through your pictures Louis and your garden , with its different rooms, is amazing. I love plants in pots too. I wonder how many pots there are in your garden? I love perlargoniums as well. All your plants are stunning, especially the exotics.

Thank you very much Doriac. My garden is long so had to section it off into different thymes......as for how many pots I have, well you've got me as I haven't got a clue....all I know is that it takes me about an hour watering them lol.My favourite plants are perlargoniums and geraniums. I have new ones for my opening garden day in August. It's a struggle trying to find new ones every year lol !!!

I was surprised your garden was so narrow. It is so cleverly disguised. This site is so wonderful to see what another gardener does with the sort of space we once had.

That's right Dorjac, by sectioning the garden it gives it a different perspective. You cannot see to the end of the garden. When you get to one section, you then realize that there is another entrance to another section and so on, which I think makes it a bit interesting, not know what's beyond one section...........
