perhaps 'easy' ;-) to make? Nice also, I think, in natural colours...

Well, I hope you can finish your project then ;-)
I wonder if you'd better treat the wicker, so that it doesn't rot too quickly.
Good luck!

it's all totall y new to me, Hilda, never worked with wicker, so no idea about treating it - but here's another avenue of knowledge opening up for me to explore.

I have a friend who did this, but I don't know what with. Perhaps you could look it up on the internet....

I already found lots of answers on the internet.
Good luck!

thanks, Hilda! I don't have to use wicker, I suppose any reasonably pliable material would do the same thing - lol wonder how raffia would stand up!!
but I'll see what Mr Google thinks about wicker, thanks for the tip

hmmmmmm! for "how to weave wicker" mostly what I got ws "buy wicker furniture" - even after I put "how to" in quotes. I did find a couple of sites that might be useful if I can get teh text large enough.
there was a lot more for "how to weave willow", and I even found "weave bamboo" - but Google doesn't seem to understandt he concept of comapring the three media so i can see the pros and cons of each. and it didn't know what "what is the best wood to weave", either.
ah well, I suppose i'll get what's handiest and cheapest and see how i get on with that!
