I'll get back to you on that the name escapes me right now - I know it only flowers very occasionally and it was amazing to see it flower once. The plant was kind of like a pineapple. I have anothe pic I'll post of it

It's Puya, possibly P.berteroniana.
As you said, related to the Pineapple!
