Lori:

That's an incredible photo! I can never capture moving bugs or birds.

Thanks very much! As you've probably seen me write elsewhere...I just adore blue plants...and the truer the blue the better.... The echinops is such a "wild thing" that it wouldn't look out of the way growing in the wild...but it looks great beside echinacea and rudbeckia... how odd that the lilies don't mind the echinops crowding them. LOL....D1... your focus is always set for the long shots of all the exotic trees... Do the bees like the delonix when it blooms? I couldn't get a good shot of a bee, bug or beetle til I discovered the macro function on my camera..quite by accident!

Lori:

Yes, bees love Delonix regia, Jacarandas trees. All the Corymbia ficifolia (fka: Eucalyptus ficifolia - Flame Eucalyptus tree are in full bloom now. Bees cover those trees by the thousands. I've posted some pics recently...you can see the bees covering the flowers.

To get a good close up the macro function must be used...or the close up pics turn out blurry.
