Well hi, I'm not on much as you might be able to see and yes a lot of what i take pictures of are native to Ontario. It is a trick of the eye the stem does not go through the flower its flower makes a small crown that comes up the head then has flowers. And i hope your grandson is enjoying Ontario its quite beautiful. I shall look for you two. You are also right about the stick bug it was very tiny but i got a picture of it.

Hi Sandygrove I love photos of insects even if I don't know their names and as you live in Ontario I guess this is a native of Canada, likewise the lovely yellow flower. Is it a trick of the eye or does the stem go right through the flower?
Wow! I have just discovered you have hundreds of photos on the site. Shall have to spend some time perusing it. I think I got the stick insect right? One of my Grandsons lives in Toronto after marrying a Canadian girl. We miss him. He sends lots of photos and we see each other on Skype. Great to have these modern ways of communicating. I wouldn't have met up with you otherwise.
I shall look out for you on GoY.
