My lawns both front and back is around 60% clover. Never burns. I never use a fertilizer with weed killer.

I have hostas in pots on my decking and slugs/snails don't get at them. I don't think they can crawl over the wood. The clover Lawn looks nicer than if it was all grass. Looks more gentle on your eyes. Everything looks nicely green and fresh.

Lawns always look their best with whatever grows in them - i think, anyway - I remember my parents lawn with little Dandelions and daisy all over them, till the lawn mower came out. but it never took them long to recover.

I have a lot of Hosta in the ground especially in the front garden but I do like them in pots. I started to do them in pots when my budget was limited and I didn't want to go out and spend money on annuals. I have a weed that grows here and there in my front and back gardens. I don't know what it is but it sends long runners and it has a tiny purple flower. I'm going to try adding some to my planters and pots so that it hangs down. I tried it last summer on one pot and it came back this spring and it's starting to grow.
