Monkey Puzzle branch

I have always liked these monkey puzzle trees, and often thought about getting one, but I think I've changed my mind after seeing this close-up. Are these really sharp, or does it just have this impression Lulu?

They are extreemly sharp. Would not like to accidently brush up against it and the photo of the next tree which I can't remember the name of is even worse! It would be good to grown somewhere you need protection though!!
