I grew 3 of these bulbs for the first time this year Andrew....I couldn't believe how big they are....I had them in a pot which kept falling over with the weight....They are just finished...what should i do with them now....are they hardy??...:>)

Motinot - I would be inclined to cut off the spent flowers so as to channel the bulbs' efforts into bulking up rather than producing seeds and let them die down naturally. They are not hardy and will need to be ket frost free during the winter

Pamd - that's good to konw. I've planted the bulbs very deeply in the hope of getting them through the winter here
