Amazon Water Lily is an incredible water lily which grow to be gigantic in the deep tropics. Photo taken August 12, 2010.

Meanie:
They can grow to more than 12 feet/ 3.7 meters in diameter in the hot tropics because they don't die back in winter. Here they grow to 6 feet/ 2 meters in diameter...but they do die back in December.
Yes, a child and maybe a small adult can sit in a large one in the tropics.

Would this be the one that a child can sit on and float? They can grow up to six foot in diameter can't they?
