Down by the stream.

Down by the stream.

Gunnera and Eupatorium with ornamental grasses. The wall at the other side of the stream is covered with Parthenocissus tricuspidata (Boston Ivy), which goes crimson in the autumn.

It certainly takes up a lot of space, as you saw, G!!

How lucky to have such a large beautiful garden Spritz. Ours is enough for me at 60ft in length by 25 ft, but I love filling it with plants.

Yes, I know I'm lucky...I'm not sure I'd like to go back to a smaller garden now I'm used to having space. OH moans about all the grass-cutting, but it looks good when he's done it, and he admits that.

it does take all my time, though, as you can imagine - but being retured, that's not a problem. :-))

I love the Joe Pye weed. My neighbor's are laughing at me because I bought this from a nursery this summer, and now find out it is growing wild all over the roadsides. Oh well, it's only money.

Don't forget that this one is a cultivated plant, and it's different to the roadside version, Valerie. I have both, and it's definitely more attractive! Just tell your neighbours the latin name...;-)
