tortoishell butterfly

So pretty aren't they? Often the first butterflies we see in our garden every year.

yes very pretty fluff, i dont see many of these, we have lots and lots of peacocks here ;o))

I must say the number of butterflies has declined in recent years ... & I grow far more flowers than I used to. We have mostly these Red Admirals & those little Meadow browns I think they are plus the usual villainous Cabbage Whites!

yes lots of whites and loads of their eggs everywhere, ;o(

Ruined my nasturtiums again ... Grrr!

black fly got mine ;o((, but whites are ruining my hollyhock leaves, im cutting them off each day ;o(
