I do agree Kittens I love this plant too. I got a root from someone I was interviewing at their home. He hated it and said I would rue the day I planted it but I haven't. I have won prizes in our local flower show with it on several occasions.

I like these too, a very reliable and dainty flower. Didn't know before yesterday they are also called "wind flowers" (and there's me thinking that would be jerusalem artichokes, tut tut)
There was a bit about them on this week's Gardeners' World on the BBC, the white variety called "Honorine Jobert" which we have too.

this plant is a japanese anenome, so we were told.Had it in our garden since 1965 when my father in law brought back a small plant back from where he worked at the Austin works longbridge, It has a good show of flowers this year like yours. Its a great reliable plant comes up every year.
