3 flower buds on my bargain Wisteria!

Your Wisteria photos are GREAT! I really been watching my young wisteria for 2 year now hoping for a bud and only seeing leaves. Lots of leaves. Can you tell me how long before I should be seeing buds?
I'm down here in in the Southwest of Australia so we are in the middle of Spring. The leaves are still coming and the tendrils are going mad!

Hi Msgail - actually, I think this is my ONLY wisteria photo on the site, so maybe you've been looking at someone elses?! This is the first wisteria I've ever grown and, to be honest, I haven't a clue how to prune it etc. I'm happy for it just to do it's own thing for the timebeing as I want it to spread all over the arch. I do know that they don't flower until they're a few years old tho. THink 2 years may be too young to flower just yet. If you look up a member called Bonkersbon, I think he can advise you on how to prune wisteria :-)

What a fabulous shaped bud. It looks like it is made from grape jelly. (can you tell it's breakfast time here in Seattle)
