One last view of the many golden/yellow African tulip trees in this grassy area next to a shopping center in Mission Valley, San Diego, CA. Photo taken August 30, 2010.

That's so strange they wouldn't be common there. : > /
They are very commonly available at nurseries here. I do know this variety has to be grafted or grown from cuttings...as they don't grow true-to-type from seed.

These are not all that common here ... as opposed to the orange variety. Such a shame as I think I prefer the yellow!
