Bought this tree a few years ago now becuase of its beatiful bright green leaves, especially in Spring. Can't remember its botanical name but the label said "Sunburst". Hope it's fully grown now as my garden is too small for a really big one. {Shame about the washing line Lol) The plant growing on wall beside it is a Climbing Hydrangea which looks beautiful late spring/early summer.

Drc you are spot on, that is the name they gave me at the nursery when I bought it about 12 years ago. It cost me a tenner then, and it was about 6 ft high. The description says it all, it's a beauty. If you find a young one cheaper I recommend you get it. Thanks so much for going to the trouble of looking it up for me.

Is it Gleditsia triacanthos Sunburst - Golden Sunburst Honey locust? I found this - Magnificent small-medium sized tree, ideal for the average garden. Fresh golden foliage stands out against the darker older leaves. A tough tree that copes well with in city gardens as it is quite tolerant of pollution. Fast-growing & one of the most effective golden trees. The Sunburst Honeylocust is a deciduous with an open, spreading crown and distinctive horizontal branches. It prefers full sun and is fully hardy. Gorgeous well established trees supplied at around 180-200cms tall in approx 15 litre containers. I would love one till I saw they are £89!
