Larkspur

OOOHH my favourite, apart from Gaura and geums and roses and Thalictrum and, and and!!!
larkespur is such a beautiful colour. Haven't got any in my garden yet.......!

I love the Larkspur, especially the purple. I first came to know it when I joined.... Think it was Gardening Club of America, they sent me some free seeds. One of the packets was a red Poppy. I don't really like red so I didn't hurry to plant them and put them aside.. I came across them long time later and thought, ah sure I might as well plant them sure it's some color and they wont last long. Welllllll I didn't get a Poppy never mind a red one I got purple Larkspur just like these. I was delighted but didn't know what they were and gave them the name Fairy Wind. They gave me so many seeds and I make sure to collect them off every plant for the next year.
