The kids were jumping out of a cherry tree on to a heap of mattresses. One of them hurt his ankle. I took him home to his some distance away. He said it was like an adventure playground. Lots of cherries and pears. Then another time I came home to see a fire engine with hoses down the side entrance. AGGGGGH!!!!!. Children had set the back hedge alight and the fire was threatening garden sheds. One of which contained a collection of pianolas!. GJ went and spoke to the owner of the land and we bought it for 1K. We cleared it to the merry tinkle of Scot Joplin and other jazz pianists. Sold it many years later for lots more, when gruesome neighbours moved in next door. Then we moved and had the money for a complete garden refurb to be done by professionals.

that's quite a tale....now you've got the garden of your dreams after moving on. Kids get up to all sorts, especially where's there is rough ground, trees, etc.
I can imagine your shock to discover a fire engine on the property...glad it didn't reach the sheds.

Looking at all of that, Dorjac..I shouldn't complain about my little patch! Looks like a mammoth job you undertook.
