Delonix decaryi - Bottle Tree

This is called "the million dollar tree" at the San Diego Zoo. It's pretty rare in cultivation....although, I have been reading it's becoming a little more available. It's native to Madagascar just like Delonix regia - Royal Poinciana. Photo taken Sept. 9, 2010.

It's actually from Delonix regia - Royal Poinciana which is one of the most beautiful flowering trees in the world.

I plant about one hundred Delonix regia a year...they are only to sell though.
