This native of Zimbabwe, Africa grows very well here. There's several trees blooming at the San Diego Zoo right now. Photo taken Sept. 9, 2010.

Actually, the flowers look different...even though it's in the same family (Fabaceae or Leguminosae). Peltophorum is a much more spectacular, beautiful flowering tree!

Hmm. Leaves like an Acacia, but the flowers of a Senna subfamily member. OK!
