LOVELY HOME-GROWN TOMATOES AND CUCUMBER

I decided to grow different varieties of tomatoe this year to see which we preferred and found that 'Shirley' was the best cropper and lovely tasting tomatoe.

I can remember that which had the less tougher skin.

I think ' Shirley ' won that one but not by much. All the varieties had slightly tough skins but Shirley was slightly better. Do you know what causes the skins to be tough 6d. it would be quite interesting to know. Perhaps its weather related do you think?
