does yours flower this late,as my Magnolia has become larger it flowers later & later i am wondering if it is now to shaded,Have you ever tried splitting yours up.

Misunderstood what you said read it as (it is easy).
Its been where it is for at least 10 years,so not that difficult.
In it winter disappears and the new shoots in spring are always destroyed by snails only send up more shoots which for some reason they don't touch.
