The Palace Hotel

The Palace Hotel

Our Palace Hotel has been brought back from a state of neglect & now in all its Former Glory. Our Sea Front is having a re-vamp too. and as you can see in the photo they have made walk ways and put shrubs and so on to finish it all off.

It is abroad if your coming from another Country LOL and yes I must agree it does look splendid and to think at not too many years ago they were putting up the down & outs who just recked the place except for a few who new when the were well off, I would love to see what it looks like in there now, god nows how much it took to get it back like this :o))))

We were driving past this building regularly, under its wraps, until recently. It has always reminded me of a cruise liner. You photo certainly shows how elegant it is, from a flop house to a faux cruise liner, for as long as it has taken. We stopped going to The Barge to eat at the arches at Westcliffe, because they messed about with the parking, to put in a cycle track. About to resume visits now summer parking pressure over. I wish they would restore that lovely place they had for band concerts and dances on top of the cliffs. The landslide destroyed it, and the gardens below. The oldies loved that place. Dancing and food in the open air. Lovely views across the Thames.

Much better near under the arches now. It sure is a shame they haven't done anything about the Band Stage it is missed by so many people, I used to love going into Never Never Land when my girls were young but they took that away from us the rotters.
