datura, with lunch

datura, white tulip type flower about 6" long. Insects fall in, though I'm not sure if the datura is strictly carnivorous. Grown from cuttings each year.

Lol, good flycatcher, love Datura don't they smell amazing in the evening:-) I have a salvia glutinosa that does a similar thing the whole plant is really sticky and the flies just stick to it, lol.

The Datura is non carnivorous. Mine became prey to some particularly soil dwelling grub sadly!
One annual that is worth growing year after year though.
