Aloysia citrodora - Lemon Verbena Blooming

Aloysia citrodora - Lemon Verbena Blooming (Aloysia citrodora - Lemon Verbena)

This lemon verbena is about a year an half old and is only 6 feet/ 2 meters tall. It should be twice that height by now. It grows all year here...however, hasn't had enough water. It bloomed this past Feb and again in July and now it's in bloom again. Photo taken Sept. 22, 2010.

Too true! The flowers smell like vanilla to me, though. Hmm. When they bloom, should they be called "Lemon Meringue Verbena"?
