Lovely lovely garden. what is the tree Tetrarch? It has beautiful bark like some rhodys or acer griseum....I love the whole picture, it is so much to look at!

Its my lilac Karen..I never noticed how colourful it seems, may have been the strong sunlight when I took picture. Saying that I went and had a closer look tonight, the bark is very sort of striated - lots of markings. And all that greenery to the left is my clematis Freckles..its gone doo lally and grown all up thru the tree. It starts flowering in the winter months and the tree looks like its flowering!
Nice of you to say the garden is lovely, but Ive seen nothing but great gardens on here. All those jewels tucked away behind people's houses, its like going on private visits,,talking of which, anyone watched Alan Titchmarsh tonight visiting HRH Prince Charles garden at Highgrove....FABULOUS!

I thought we were talking about Alan!!! noooooo I'm not a Charlie fan....I like his garden very much, but it would be hard to not make a good job of it if you have professional staff to do the job for you wouldn't it!! Oh goodness, imagine me saying I was so fond of Charlie....lol!! Nope, not me!! :)) Queen is ok though! I was expecting you to say Monty Don!! :)))))))))

Ohhhh thats a totally different story. Alan Titchmarsh is the bees knees where I am concerned. I heard him on the radio about 30 years ago, and said to my OH, that bloke is going places, he's witty, unpatronising, no airs and graces and talks like its directly to you. I discovered him you know...........
