Actually we stayed in Mogliano, it was a Villa d'Este for the Stuckey family once upon a time..I will post a couple. Frightened the life out of me when we arrived..we only paid £240 each (3 sharing room) for flights AND 7 nights!! I thought a mistake had been made.
Dont know what the flowers were but it was one of the "posher" houses and bridges.

What time of year did you go, M? They were still making about 100 per night with the triple occupancy. sounds like a win-win thing. How was the food? I want to go to Tuscany... have read and heard so much about the food and the bread...the olives and the grapes... and the history... sigh.

We went in September Lori. We were only bed and breakfast, but breakfast was okay..not cooked but lots of other stuff, whatever you could eat. Toast machine etc..coffee, fruit juice, croissants you know the sort of thing. Guess we paid about £65/70 a night for a very large room, with cupboard, large leather chairs, dressing table, spa shower..
Yes would like to go back to Florence, Pisa. Never went to Sienna, but want to go. Have you watched the DVDs of Francesco's Itay?

Wonder what might be the voluminous white flowers in the planters? That is so beautiful!!. Did you stay in the building with the gorgeous roof garden? Thanks for posting this pic, M.
