I will say this for it Karen, its likely to have roses on it (if I have the courage to get close enough to dead head) right up to Christmas! If it does so this year I will post a pic.

I once took a vase of 'The Pilgrim' inside for Christmas too. I love it when that happens!

Absolutely right Tetrarch, only sorry I don't have any with good hips, but they seem to only grow on the wild ones and I don't have room for one of those! I love the way that sometimes, when you get overzealous with the secateurs, they just come back even stronger. The only thing against the rose is it's inability to deal with rain! Soggy balls are one of my saddest sights!! ;))

Yes, me too, when you KNOW how beautiful they are going to be..and then disaster! Most of mine do well in rain..but not in this day after day stuff!
