Archontophoenix cunninghamiana - King Palms

Archontophoenix cunninghamiana - King Palms (Archontophoenix cunninghamiana - King Palms)

King Palms in clusters on Coronado Island. This palm is a dime a dozen...very, very common, however, it always looks good growing in clusters. Photo taken Oct. 8, 2010.

Delonix, i always like to see your pictures from Coronado Island, it looks such a lovely place - a place i'd choose to live if i was over there.

Louise1:

Thanks! Coronado is one of the nicest communities in San Diego County. It's extremely expensive to live there: a tiny house would cost a million dollars.

Tetrarch:

Yes, they're graceful, very fast growing, however, they prefer a lot of water. It's native to Queensland, Australia, along rivers and streams.
