Is she a student? My son (18) is a photography student at a small univ here in Georgia. Does she take some of your posted pics? They are very good. Was reading about your travails with lettuce and spinach. How did they do? I had both this year but I think I waited too long to start the spinach, I think next year I'll put it in in Feb. Oh yea, love the hair!

She's a lovely girl & should be proud of her work. Photography is a great form of self expression and art, can be invigorating or relaxing, and truly wonderful to see the outcome of your labours. Which is about the same reasoning I use with gardening... lol!

lol well your right there, gardening is a form of self expression , just without the darkroom lol

glad you had luck with the lettuce and spinach, the spinach is my son's fav. He ate a lot over spring break. but then it just got too hot for it. I'm considering trying some this fall and keep it over the winter in a cold frame. He is doing fine, just signed up for summer school at a univ closer to home so I think living in a dorm room with 3 other guys he had nothing in common with in a tiny little town in south georgia was DULL. Guess he found out that mom and dad aren't so boring after all. My daughter is also going to summer school this year so this place is really hopping right now.

ciara's college is in dublin city centre, just 8 miles away so she lives at home and gets bus or train in every day. guess they know where their bread is buttered lol

Well guess you can't blame them, I know both of mine are more impressed with the food at home. I have had to up my production of yogurt to 2 quarts a week and my granola to 12 cups a week (I make both at home myself) and I also roast my own coffee so that has increased also. Plus living at home now that they are older has less restrictions so that's a plus for them, and for us. We can go off for the weekend and some one will feed the dog and give her her pills, she is 14 and has arthritis like me.

lol thats true , it is a bonus to have someone on hand to mind the animals and know that they will be looked after properly. sounds like you have a great home there, no wonder your kids prefer to stay at home with all the home made produce

My daughter will be embarking on a photography course in Sept. I hope she has as much success as your daughter.
